Katie Wu is a seasoned software engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience in the field. She is currently working at Google as a Software Engineer on the Google Opinions Rewards team. In her current role, Katie is responsible for developing software solutions that enhance user experience and improve app performance. Katie's previous experience includes working as a Software Engineer Intern on the AdWords team at Google. During her tenure, she extended the greedy rpc - framework to predict and preload app data based on user's next predicted actions to improve latency - to all apps across AdWords Next. She also worked with Dart to modify the model, learner, predictor, and controller to issue rpc’s for prefetch. Katie has also worked as an IoT Software Engineer Intern at Salesforce on the Input Connectors team of IoT Cloud. During her time there, she designed a method of working with Hibernate to persist associations between input connections to be later retrieved from the UI and created new endpoints for enabling the creation of and scheduling of jobs. She also modified the UI to enable the creation of and scheduling of jobs. Katie is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied Computer Science.
