Katya Sadovnycha is a Full Stack Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience in building various products end to end. Currently working at Instagram as a Software Engineer, she is a part of the Accurate Info team, where she builds systems and enforcements to reduce users' exposure to misinformation on the platform and promote authoritative content. Katya has worked at fast-paced startups of different sizes and stages in the past few years, building core, business-critical features, and systems. She thrives in small teams of motivated and highly independent engineers working on impactful products. In her previous role as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Uniform Teeth, Katya was the second engineer on the team and was brought in to build features and systems to enable patients to receive world-class patient and doctor experience at Uniform Teeth orthodontic clinics. She led multiple full-stack projects starting from the proposal phase to production. As a Product Engineer at Townsquared, Katya was one of the leading engineers on a team of initially 30 people. She worked alongside PMs, designers, co-founders, and other engineers on creating a product that would help small businesses succeed and allow the company to excel in the SMB-space. Katya wore multiple hats by diving into various roles using different technologies and methodologies. She created technical designs and implemented multiple full-stack projects in cross-functional teams. She was a go-to engineer for the entire application stack, mentored several junior engineers, and interviewed engineering candidates on the phone and onsite. Katya holds a Master's degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from Lviv Polytechnic National University and completed a .Net Development course from SoftServe IT Academy. She has a strong technical background and is proficient in various tech stacks.
