Kaushal Dokania is a Senior Software Engineer with over 4 years of experience in back-end development, specializing in building RESTful services and scalable distributed server-side applications. He has worked in the NetIQ eDirectory product team (part of IGA) at Micro Focus, developing a large-scale performance-critical product and gaining domain knowledge in Identity & LDAP. Kaushal is currently working as an Assistant System Engineer at TCS, where he is responsible for designing and developing critical applications from scratch using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, RESTful web services & Angular 5. He has also developed multiple internal tools from scratch for the Apple Production Support teams. As the only backend developer in the team, he has taken responsibility for the entire backend and has enhanced tools for support teams to boost team productivity. Kaushal's technical skills include programming languages such as Java, Go(Golang), and C, back-end technologies such as Docker, databases such as MySQL, NetIQ eDirectory, and FLAIM, and protocols such as REST and LDAP. He is also proficient in using tools such as Maven, Git, SVN, and GDB. Kaushal is passionate about technology and is interested in working on cloud computing and real-time distributed systems. He has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science & Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata. In his previous role as a Software Engineer at Micro Focus, Kaushal worked on developing new features to integrate with the existing product, brainstorming and designing new components to extend the product, debugging complex legacy code, and fixing bugs.
