Kaushal Kumar is a Linux and Embedded Systems Software Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the Wireless, Avionics, Automotive, and Consumer electronics domains. He is currently working as an Engineer, Senior Staff Manager at Qualcomm Inc. Kaushal is an expert in designing Linux-based embedded systems from the ground up and has expertise in BSP, Linux Device Drivers, Android, Buildroot, Bitbake, OpenEmbedded, Filesystems, PCB Diagnostics, Algorithms, Codecs, and Assemblers. He has worked on platforms such as Android, Linux, VxWorks, QNX, and Solaris and is proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Perl, and Shell. Kaushal has experience in leading offshore and on-site teams and has been an open-source contributor since 2001. He was a GNOME Foundation Member between 2005-2012 and is now a GNOME Foundation Emeritus member since Oct-2013. Kaushal's goal in the short-term is to enrich his experience in real-time systems.
