Kaushal Mehta is a Principal PM Manager at Microsoft, currently heading the Technology Adoption Program (TAP) for Microsoft Teams. With over 16 years of relevant experience, he is responsible for ensuring product quality, feature adoption, and customer satisfaction. He leads a team of PMs and engineers, coaching and building a strong team for the TAP program. Kaushal joined Microsoft in 2010 as a specialized hire for the Voice/Telecom industry and has worked on the core communications platform since then. His team has established a customer-centric programmatic approach that helps ship quality products to millions of business users. Teams TAP is one of the largest and most efficient modern technical pre-release previews ever for Microsoft. Currently, his distributed team is validating pre-GA Teams features with the help of over 2000 passionate customer IT admins, 80 amazing MVPs, and 3M+ production users in Teams TAP. Before joining Microsoft, Kaushal worked for NexTone, a Session Border Controller start-up in DC, from 2004 until 2008, driving interoperability testing & certification programs with vendors across IP-PBX’s and media GW’s. He then worked for VeriSign from 2008-2009, building interoperability solutions with telco carriers and cable VoIP companies. Kaushal has a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MS in Telecommunications Management from SUNY Polytechnic Institute. He also completed the Senior Technical Leadership Program (STLP) from Microsoft. His technical skills include product management, testing, and web development.
