Kaushal Nahata is a Growth Manager at Paytm, with a background in software engineering and business administration. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Prior to his current role, Kaushal worked as a Business Analyst in the Business Intelligence Unit at Axis Bank. He was a part of the Fraud Analytics Team, where he developed statistical models for identifying fraudulent transactions and monitored merchant acquisition platform capabilities to secure the financial services offered by the organization. He also worked on developing a real-time UPI transaction monitoring system on a Big Data platform and created Decision Tree models for rule creation and modification in the credit card transaction monitoring system. Kaushal also remodeled the merchant fraud settlement system, decreasing the run frequency from 10 days to a daily basis. Before Axis Bank, Kaushal worked as a Software Engineer in the Blockchain practice at L&T's CSTG Business Unit. He prototyped a decentralized application to automate YouTube payments based on view count, by deploying smart contracts on a locally run and manually controlled test Ethereum blockchain. He also worked on enabling blockchain capabilities in the supply chain system of an FMCG MNC (Rev $6B) to reduce inefficiencies, secure the network, improve visibility, and enhance interoperability among various vendor systems. Kaushal's tech stack includes Blockchain, Big Data, Ethereum, Smart Contract, Software Engineering, Decentralized, and Infra. He has 1.94 years of relevant experience and is passionate about driving growth and innovation in the technology industry.
