Kaushik Shankar is a Senior Software Engineer at Paytm Money, with over 3 years of experience in Product Development. He has a strong focus on developing low latency Fintech Products and has a working knowledge of DevOps, Git, Jenkins, and Docker. Kaushik is responsible for creating Backend REST APIs using Java 8, Spring Boot, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, Kafka, Elastic Search, AWS S3, and Redis. He is also skilled in problem-solving and algorithms. Kaushik has previously worked at Tata as a Software Engineer, where he worked as an individual contributor in an agile environment in the Order to Billing team for a product named Optimus. He has experience in developing SOAP/RESTful APIs for different microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Redis, and RabbitMQ. He handled the complex Service Assurance Workflow for all orders placed and also worked on Project Plan Estimation for different tasks of the entire O2B journey using Flowable BPMN Engine. Kaushik rectified the end-to-end flow by writing Unit Test cases using JUnit5 and Mockito. He followed all the SDLC phases, including Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (Git, Jenkins, Docker). Kaushik graduated from SASTRA University (NIRF Top 25 CS Schools) in the field of Information Technology. He is currently pursuing a Post Graduation Diploma in Computer Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology in IT from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy. Prior to that, he completed his high school from Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chennai, and primary school from DAV School, Chennai.
