Kaushik Vatsa is a seasoned Software Division Head and Engineering Leader with over 20 years of experience in delivering and expanding business solutions for various industries, including B2B and Consumer e-Commerce, Biopharma, Trading and Risk Management, CRM, and manufacturing. He has worked in both .Net and Java stack, specializing in Enterprise software development and IT strategy focused on strategic customized applications. As a Senior Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Kaushik is responsible for heading the Clinical Sequencing Division (IT) business division with three product lines having revenue of $500 million. He leads a team of 80+ people involved in SDLC, distributed across multiple locations in San Francisco, Pune, and Bangalore. He is accountable for overall business and IT strategy, budget management, and roadmap of these three products, leading the team in overall delivery, design, and development of these products. He also leads a Data Lake and Deep Learning team for data engineering and machine learning part, working with technical stacks in Java, Angular, AWS, Python, MongoDB, and MySQL. Kaushik has also worked as a Senior Engineering Manager/Development Manager at Eurofins IT Solutions India, where he successfully led the delivery of the eLIMS-BPT (Lab Management System) Production and Training systems in the Microsoft Azure cloud as a separate Software as a Service. Under his leadership, the application has been deployed at 30+ geographical locations across the world and transactions with business revenue of $700+ million. He has also led Azure migration of the above application and was leading all design decisions. As an Engineering Manager at Travelyaari, Kaushik managed complex and dynamic software projects/products and launched B2B and B2C product BusCRS, a complete travel and operation management system for buses. He also launched and delivered B2C platforms in e-commerce in current and previous organizations, handling traffic of up to 10 lakh transaction requests per day. Kaushik's specialties include enterprise-wide systems integration and architecture, cloud migration and review, IT systems, technical support management in a 7x24 high availability environment, vendor, contracts, and negotiation, PMP and Agile certified. He is skilled in managing stakeholders, including senior leadership, business sponsor, and business project manager, presenting them with project status reports, project budget reports, milestone reports, and inputs for steering committees at regular intervals.
