Kaushik Vijayakumar is an accomplished AVP and Senior Data Analyst with over 13 years of experience in the field. He is currently employed with Swiss Re as an Assistant Vice President. Kaushik has a Master's degree in Business Analytics and Project Management from the University of Connecticut School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University. In his current role at Swiss Re, Kaushik is responsible for providing data-driven insights to support business decisions. He is proficient in research, ETL, AWS, integration, mobile and web technologies. Kaushik has a proven track record of delivering high-quality analytics solutions to clients. Previously, Kaushik worked with Univision Communications Inc. as a Business Data Analyst Intern in Digital Marketing and Programming Research. He led analytics projects and mentored/trained analysts on DOMO, a business cloud ETL/Visualization tool built on AWS Redshift using PostgreSQL. He consolidated data from various sources such as in-house website/mobile app, web tracking platforms such as Google Analytics, AdWords, and social networking applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. Kaushik built visualizations in DOMO to draw insights on the marketing campaign reach based on various metrics such as impressions, conversions, demography, device, installs, etc. He also built visualizations for the marketing team to evaluate the reach of the campaigns. Kaushik implemented from-scratch, automated, end-to-end deployment of the Analytics project in Programming Research team and integrated a huge volume of TV Rating data (~70M rows) from Nielsen. He built visualizations, drill-down charts, and reports in DOMO and collaborated with the analytics team to draw insights on audience viewership of TV programs based on multivariate analysis and trends. Kaushik drafted documents on technical implementation, data governance, and tracking, and risk handling (identification/monitoring/mitigation). Kaushik has also worked with Societe Generale as a Senior Associate in Business Analytics, Financial Performance Analysis (FPA). He led a technical team and implemented solutions to handle high volume, sensitive C3 financial data from multiple systems to provide analytical solutions to the client. Kaushik collaborated with financial officers in providing data analysis by leveraging capabilities of relational database and BI tools.
