Kaustav Chakraborty is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 7 years of experience in the software industry. He is currently working as a Software Development Manager at Medly, where he is responsible for defining and directing organization-wide infrastructure and practices. He also manages organization-wide security practices while enabling products to adopt them, works as a cloud owner to manage different integrations, SSO, and cloud designs, develops and maintains internal tooling, and manages more than two teams that work with cross-functional teams both in India and the US. Additionally, he is responsible for managing infrastructure and development costs and defining different certifications and compliance, such as HIPAA. Prior to his current role, Kaustav worked as a Senior Application Developer at Medly, where he was one of the initial members of the engineering/product team and played a crucial role in developing the culture in the organization and maintaining development practices across all product teams. He was also an integral part of the very first B2B product team and played the role of Engineering Manager for the Infrastructure team of the organization. Before joining Medly, Kaustav worked as an Application Developer at ThoughtWorks, where he gained experience working on multiple languages as a Full Stack Developer. He built complex, enterprise-transforming applications with diverse, high-energy teams and crafted quality code. He also experienced the latest tools and techniques, various web application frameworks, and worked closely with Agile methodology, Microservice-based applications. Kaustav holds a Bachelor of Computer Application - BCA degree from the University of Madras and a Diploma in Computer Science and Technology from Kingston Polytechnic College. He also completed his high school education from Sinthi R.B.T. Vidyapith. Kaustav is a passionate software developer and a seeker of challenges.
