Kaustubh Agarwal is a highly skilled Software Design Engineer with a diverse range of experience in the technology industry. Currently working at ASML, Kaustubh has a strong background in software design and development, and has worked with a variety of companies in the past, including Signify and Ericsson. At Signify, Kaustubh worked as a Graduate Trainee, where he was responsible for working on his master thesis titled, "Improving Zigbee Performance of a Wireless Lighting System in a Smart Home Environment." During this time, he performed data analysis from thousands of Philips Hue users to correlate indicators for the purpose of discovering the root cause of performance degradation. He also proposed a low-cost approach to prevent interference between the Hue system and the Wi-Fi network by switching to a non-overlapping channel. Additionally, Kaustubh implemented a new centralized system design that not only provides the Hue system priority over Wi-Fi transmissions but also minimized loss for the Wi-Fi network by converting the medium to low interference utilizing a dynamic rate shaping algorithm for the Wi-Fi router (OpenWrt). At Ericsson, Kaustubh worked as a Network Engineer, where he was responsible for handling the operations of Radio Access Networks for Bharti Airtel - the largest Telecom operator in India. His responsibilities included integrating, configuring, testing new 2G,3G,4G Radio nodes, but also maintaining them at the required level. Kaustubh also introduced automation methods for all major procedures, resulting in driving down executing time and errors in integrating and managing Ericsson RAN nodes. He was also responsible for optimizing the RAN nodes as per requirements of the operator, including migrating sites from one BSC to another and migrating BSC from one OSS to another for load balancing purposes. Kaustubh was a part of many big projects, including introducing migration from separate GSM and LTE sites to a single GSM+LTE site in North-East India, migrating sites from old Base station controllers to new EVO - BSC in almost 20 states in India, to name a few. Kaustubh holds a Master of Science in Embedded Systems from Delft University of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology.
