Kaustubh Gaikwad is a Computer Science Graduate Student at Rochester Institute of Technology who is actively seeking Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 Software Engineer Internship Opportunities. He is a budding Machine Learning Engineer with strong core fundamentals and a curiosity for learning new things. Kaustubh has experience collaborating across teams and time-zones to achieve business results. He has worked across the stack with React, Flask as a user-facing interface, and Python as backend development. Additionally, he has worked with MySQL, Snowflake as data stores. Kaustubh enjoys building things from scratch and solving design problems that arise in the process. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Computer Science with specialization in ML and AI and will be graduating in December 2023. Kaustubh has a relevant experience of 1.18 years and has worked with L&T as a Graduate Engineering Trainee and Software Developer Intern. At L&T, he was responsible for fixing and debugging bugs related to backend API services, contributed to the development of ML services like auto-tagging, auto-relation, and created a domain-specific lexical word database which reduced the processing time to run NLP algorithm and rendering time of the web page by 50 percent. Kaustubh has also developed a dashboard using Flask for backend REST APIs and ReactJS for frontend at L&T. He displayed different datasets which were being cataloged in the product from various RDBMS and NoSQL databases and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and more. He devised Fast API which would provide analysis about different kinds of data published in the product and performed testing (regression and performance testing) on various API services and provided performance statistics.
