Kaustubh Iyer is a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where he builds solutions for the Point of Sale devices in Amazon Physical stores all over the US/UK. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, he sees himself not just as a programmer but a problem solver. He constantly strives to attain the feeling of euphoria that comes with solving non-trivial problems. Kaustubh has 2.86 years of relevant experience and has worked in Amazon Physical Stores to improve customer experience at checkout. He is currently working towards the improvement of the Research driving JWO technology. Prior to Amazon, he worked as a Software Engineer at Aptus Engineering, where he built software solutions using Golang, Docker, Node.js, MongoDB, React, socket.io for streaming, and more. He also worked as a Software Intern at Rimads, where he optimized, made additions to, and stress tested Django backends for multiple solutions at the company. Kaustubh's education history includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he graduated in 2020. He also has a High School degree in Physical Sciences from Chinmaya International Residential School and a High School degree in General Studies from Bishop Cotton Boys' School.
