Kaustubh Sadekar is a PhD student in Computer Science with a strong background in 3D computer vision, depth sensor fusion, and computational imaging. He has a keen interest in synthetic dataset generation pipelines for 3D deep learning and is currently working on unconventional depth sensing cameras to design novel imaging methods that can improve depth perception for robotics, HCI, and AR/VR applications. With 4 years of work experience in classical 3D computer vision, Kaustubh has worked on topics related to multi-view 3D reconstruction, visual-SLAM, and depth estimation. He is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at Portland State University and has previously worked as a 3D Deep Learning Engineer at RadiusAI and as a Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. Kaustubh holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhi Nagar, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science from Portland State University. He possesses a strong set of technical skills, including research scientist, computer vision, and deep learning.
