Kavel Baruah is a young and dynamic Software Engineer with a passion for Big Data and its potential to positively impact the world. Since his college days, Kavel has been fascinated with the complexities of Big Data and its applications, which led him to pursue a career in this field. He is currently working as a Summer Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, where he is part of a team analyzing the impact of social media on politics and developing algorithms to mitigate negative influences. Kavel has proven himself to be an out-of-the-box thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. He has experience working with a range of Big Data tools and technologies, including Hive, Spark, MapReduce, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Ranger, Java, Python, and AWS. He is always eager to learn new technologies and has even dabbled in Machine Learning. Kavel's past experience includes working as an Associate Software Engineer at Zaloni, where he helped clients with the Zaloni product, Arena. He worked extensively with Arena to design Hadoop pipeline solutions and ensure smooth maintenance. He also worked as a Software Engineer at Zaloni, where he focused on enhancing the Arena product and gained exposure to Java and Hadoop architecture. Kavel holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Tezpur University. He has relevant experience of 3.03 years and is a research scientist with a keen interest in Big Data, Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, AWS, Java, ML, Elastic Search, Apache Hive, and Python. Kavel believes that the world is one big-data problem and is committed to leveraging his skills to make a positive impact.
