Kavita is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the IT industry. Currently working at Microsoft as a Software Engineer II, she is responsible for the implementation of Gateway services to support Microsoft Teams and Skype interoperability features like Chat and Presence. She has also implemented Service Resiliency features for Gateway services and handled customer incidents during on-call rotations. Kavita has a strong background in driving scrum, sprint planning meetings, and processes. Prior to her current role, Kavita was a Senior Technical Associate at Avaya, where she worked on the conversion of the legacy desktop IPOffice manager to a Spring Boot web application. She has also worked on creating Angular UI on the front-end and Hibernate on the backend, which was calling REST API layer exposed by IPOffice. Kavita has worked on GWT framework for front-end development. At Persistent Systems, Kavita worked on multiple projects such as Intuit TurboTax, Intuit QuickBooks, and Intuit Payment Network. She was involved in the development of the Accountant Management System, which is a web application designed to buy/redeem Intuit Products. Kavita also worked on Intuit Payment Network, which allows users to use secure payment services. She has experience in Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, and Groovy on Grails. Kavita holds a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
