Kedar Mahamuni is a seasoned technology leader with over 9 years of experience in product management and software development. He is currently serving as the CTO and Product Head at GroundUp, where he is leading the product and tech functions to build digital-first infrastructure for the entire schooling ecosystem. Kedar's work at GroundUp aims to digitize students' learning data, automate repetitive non-value adding tasks for teachers, and provide actionable insights on a child's academic progress. He is passionate about creating products and technologies that touch people's lives and make them simpler. Prior to GroundUp, Kedar worked as a Product Manager at Visa and NIUM, where he built Cards and BaaS solutions for NIUM and managed Visa Onboarding and API Platform. He believes in the iterative and lean approaches towards building products and solving problems. Kedar completed his Master of Business Administration from IIM Bangalore, where he focused on Product Management, Strategy, and Marketing. Before his MBA, Kedar worked as a Software Developer at Varian Medical Systems, where he gained strong programming and product development experience. He has been awarded multiple times for showing exceptional performance. Kedar's technical expertise includes architecting software applications, developing web, mobile, and desktop applications. His areas of interest include Product, Design, Technology, Marketing, and Analytics. Outside of work, Kedar enjoys travelling, exploring new places, trekking, playing cricket, and shopping. He is looking to build a long-term career in leadership roles and is currently hiring rockstar engineers and designers for GroundUp's digital infrastructure project.
