Keerthiraj K is a Senior Data Engineer with over 6 years of experience in Big Data Analytics and Data Engineering. He has a strong expertise in AWS Cloud, Spark, Databricks, Python, Kafka, NIFI, NoSQL, SQL, CI/CD, and has worked on Telecom and E-commerce domain projects. Currently, Keerthiraj works as a Senior Engineer (Data Engineering & Analytics) at Altimetrik, where he is responsible for analyzing requirements and business rules based on given documentation, migrating existing SSIS, NIFI pipelines to Databricks using Pyspark, SparkSQL, Scala & Python, and managing source code, branching, Tagging, Release Activities on Version Control Tools like GIT & defect tracking on software maintenance tasks/projects. He has also handled importing of huge data from various data sources, performed transformations using Pandas, loaded data into S3 bucket and converted to different format using spark, and created Glue Database, Tables via Terraform scripts. Keerthiraj is experienced in working in AGILE SCRUM methodology and KANBAN Board. In the past, Keerthiraj has worked as a Senior Big Data Engineer at Tekion, where he interacted with client/stakeholders to understand user story and finalize its scope, analyzed the data coming from different resources to know its schema and functionality, and used Sqoop scripts to ingest data from different RDBMS sources into Hadoop Cluster (HDFS) and created Hive tables, partitions, data loading into hive tables, etc. He has also worked on several functions in Scala Library to build Spark Applications, Spark SQL, RDDs -Transformations, Actions, data frames and pushed the results to the HDFS. At Comcast, Keerthiraj was responsible for analyzing requirements and business rules based on given documentation and worked closely with tech leads and Business analysts in understanding the current system, pulling logs from Amazon S3 log server and storing them in the FTP server hourly wise, extracting data from various log files from boxes and loading it into HDFS under Hadoop, and creating Sqoop scripts for loading data into Hadoop and scheduling them into crontab.
