Keisuke Irie is a highly experienced data scientist with over 5 years of experience in the higher education and tech industries. He is passionate about providing creative and effective data science solutions and working on large complex datasets. Keisuke has experience in customer-centric data science consulting, predictive model performance analyses, and machine learning model developments for software products. Keisuke's work revolves around one theme: "Helping others." He takes pride in providing technical solutions that positively influence people and businesses. Currently, Keisuke works as a Machine Learning Engineer at Civitas Learning, where he helps colleges and universities see and use their data in meaningful ways to improve student success. He uses cloud-based, predictive analytics platforms and applications to bring actionable insights to the front lines of education. Keisuke's experience includes building new data science functionalities for Civitas Learning products, moving ML infrastructure from Spark to Metaflow, and developing ML models that output the probability of students graduating from their institution. His tech stack includes Python, Scikit-learn, Metaflow, Postgresql, and MLflow. Before joining Civitas Learning, Keisuke worked as an Assistant of Business Development at Jetro USA, where he created and managed a database of over 2500 US companies in 5 US states. He also worked as a Geophysicist in the Upstream Technology Group at Marathon Oil Corporation, where he worked on data analyses and data pre-processing of large geophysical data. Keisuke holds a degree in Data Science from Galvanize Inc, a Bachelor of Science in Seismology from Cornell University, and a Master of Science in Geophysics from The University of Texas at El Paso.
