Data Scientist at S3 Global, Inc.
About
Keith Wiley is a highly experienced data scientist with over 16 years of relevant experience. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and has worked on Hadoop/Hive deployment/development on 900-node clusters and 30-terabyte datasets. Keith is an expert in full pipeline data engineering, machine learning for data science/analysis in big data and distributed computing environments, and has many years of experience teaching C++. He has worked on many large O-O projects in C++/Java/Python, and has experience in image/audio/signal processing with FFTs and wavelets (spectral analysis, denoising, compression). Keith is also experienced in optimized tree search methods and processing of large data sets. He has also worked on bioinformatics SW development and sports human motion and physics AI/ML analysis/computer-vision/image-and-video-processing. Keith's specialties include full pipeline data engineering, data-mining/machine-learning/predictive-analytics, Python, Jupyter Notebook, scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, OpenCV, etc. He is also experienced in MicroPython, PyBoard, ESP8266/ESP32, OpenMV, CM1K/NM500 neuromorphic chip (see Kaggle projects), other edge-AI products, C++, Java, Hadoop/Hive, Eclipse, PyCharm, IntelliJ IDEA, Git/Subversion/Perforce, HTML/CSS, Perl/PHP for server-side of dynamic websites, and various tree search and related methods/optimizations (PhD). Keith is also experienced in signal processing: FFTs/wavelets, image/acoustic signal processing. Keith is currently working as a Data Scientist at Seattle Sport Sciences, Inc. where he is responsible for the design and implementation of player performance data acquisition algorithms and associated data analytics pipelines. He is also responsible for video parsing and per-frame processing in Python/OpenCV, custom-built image-processing algorithms against video data with PIL/Numpy/OpenCV, and oversight and account administration on extremely high-performance in-house GPU servers. Keith has also worked at the University of Washington - Applied Physics Laboratory as a Software Engineer IV, where he worked on two projects: Sonar Simulation Toolkit (under Robert Goddard), an eigenray model of underwater acoustics, and a real-time data-acquisition/FFT-processing system with low data-loss tolerances, rapid throughput, and amenability to future parallelism. Keith has a comprehensive website at http://keithwiley.com, and his GitHub projects
