Kemal Yılmaz is a highly experienced Engineering Manager with over 22 years of software architecture and development experience and more than 10 years of experience in engineering management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Getir, Kemal is skilled in cloud technology, microservices, distributed systems, real-time big data applications, and data center infrastructures. He has a strong understanding of various programming paradigms and is known for his excellent communication skills in an international context. Kemal is passionate about continuous integration and continuous deployment and is committed to improving DORA metrics of his teams. He has a proven track record of successfully managing engineering teams and delivering high-quality software products. Before joining Getir, Kemal worked as the OTT TV Solutions Manager and TV Platform Development Manager at Turkcell. He has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer, where he gained hands-on experience in CI/CD, Big Data, Microservices, and Integration. Kemal holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Bilkent University and a Master of Science from Gebze Technical University. He also attended Kocaeli Korfez Fen Lisesi for his high school education. With almost two decades of relevant experience, Kemal is a highly skilled Engineering Manager who is committed to delivering high-quality software products and improving team metrics.
