Kenneth Yu is an experienced Fullstack Software Engineer with a specialization in backend engineering. He has over six years of experience in software engineering and is proficient in full-stack engineering, DevOps, software architecture, leading projects, and improving engineering processes. Kenneth is currently working as a Fullstack Software Engineer at Atlassian. Kenneth has worked with several companies in the past, including fjaus and EmployeeChannel Inc. At fjaus, he led backend engineering efforts to build and integrate acquired software assets from EmployeeChannel. At EmployeeChannel Inc., Kenneth developed software using Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Postgres, nginx, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and New Relic. He was a core member of the team since day one of founding the company and was promoted to Project Lead, managing the full project lifecycle while actively developing software. He successfully initiated, completed, and enhanced Ruby on Rails applications and built Node.js microservices resulting in refactored Rails monoliths, a decrease in technical debt, and improved application scalability.
