Keshav Somani is an experienced Data Scientist with a demonstrated history of around 10 years working in industries of multiple domains. He is skilled in Machine Learning, NLP, Python, Pyspark, Flask, Apache Airflow, R, Data Science, and Apache Spark. Keshav holds a Btech/Mtech Dual Degree focused in Industrial Engineering and Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Currently, Keshav is working as a Senior Data and Applied Scientist at Microsoft. Prior to that, he worked as a Data Scientist, ML at Amazon, where he built several models to predict the slab of weight and dimensions of products listed on Amazon, likelihood of a returned order being damaged, seller-shipping time, and whether intraday future orders would be cancelled by sellers. These models have saved millions of dollars and increased annual sales by $20 million. Keshav has also worked as a Lead Data Scientist - COE - AI/ML at Jio, where he built a recommendation engine for JioNews and JioCinema using ALS and Jaccard/Cosine similarity between movie’s description, starcast, and genre. He has also worked on user profiling and clustering to enhance recommendations and created a number identification service which converts words to numbers for different Indian languages. Keshav has a strong engineering background and is proficient in various technologies such as AI, AWS, Sentiment Analysis, MapReduce, Hadoop, Random Forest, Sagemaker, Databricks, Django, Pytorch, Azure, Apache Hive, and Mobile.
