Ketan Khairnar is a Principal Architect with over 18 years of experience in the software industry. Currently, he is serving as a Technical Director at Druva, where he is responsible for developing and implementing technical strategies for the company. Ketan has worked with several leading organizations in the past, including Flex by Finaxar, where he served as a Lead Software Architect. During his tenure, he developed a low-latency card transaction processing backend with additional features such as cost-effective event sourcing, audit trail, customer notifications, and EOD reconciliations with VISA. He also worked on complex SaaS billing workflows catering to hundreds of customers, which were made live in just three weeks. His expertise in Scala (Akka, GRPC, ZIO), Python, AWS (EKS, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, Step Functions, Lambda), clickhouse, and Redis, along with his experience in ERPNext, helped him deliver successful projects. Ketan also worked as a Consulting Software Architect for a stealth startup, where he designed and implemented a clustered and partitioned HLS playlist manipulator using Akka sharding, catering to tens of thousands of concurrent users. He also worked on REST API design and implementation for a B2B marketplace and control plane for a fintech product. Additionally, he modernized a legacy Java product by upgrading it from JDK 7 to JDK 11 and deprecating and rewriting the messaging layer. Ketan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI).
