Ketan Patel is a Senior Technical Lead with over 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, specializing in Hybrid (HEV / PHEV) & Electric Vehicle - Powertrain & ADAS Software Development. He has extensive experience in Model-based development, Verification & Validation techniques, and has worked in both Embedded/Industrial application domains. Ketan's domain knowledge includes xEV Powertrain (Hybrid- HEV, PHEV & EVA Powertrain Architecture), Vehicle validation with Testing, System & Requirements Engineering, Industrial Automation, and Machine vision. He has technical experience in Automotive application software development, Model-based software development on MATLAB(Simulink, Stateflow), LabVIEW, ASCET, and Embedded C, Software verification & validation on various platforms like ETAS INCA, SIL/MIL/HIL with TPT, CANalyzer, TESSY, etc. He also has beginner level Machine learning knowledge with libraries like Jupyter and Anaconda, Hardware Communication & Interfacing (like Camera, Sensor’s hardware, etc.), and Machine Vision applications & Image Processing. Ketan has also been involved in project management activities such as Architectural analysis, designing, implementation & testing of project requirements, managing and updating Software Requirement Specification (SRS), various level Requirements and Software Design documents writing on DOORs & ALM platforms, understanding of agile project methodology, e.g. Scrum and Kanban, and communication with vendors & stakeholders for procurement of project-related equipment. Currently, Ketan works as a Senior Technical Lead at Mercedes Benz, where he is responsible for Model-based development, Verification & Validation of powertrain functions like Intelligent Torque Control, Creeping, External Torque Interventions, HMI functions, etc. of Hybrid controls unit for HEV, PHEV & EVA vehicles. He is also responsible for the development & validation of ADAS Feature functions (Predictive Control Strategy) with ADASIS Protocol, Thermal Management, Hybrid Control Strategy, etc. and is technically responsible for Project & function's planning, SW-Architecture updates, Integration & Deliveries. He is also leading a team of 6-8 people based on feature function responsibility. In the past, Ketan has worked at Bosch as a Senior Engineer, where he worked on Application modules development of Electrification topics like Boost Recuperation System (BRS) (With ASCET, ML/SL), Electronic clutch (E-Clutch) system
