Kevin Mehta is a Growth Manager with a passion for mentoring and guiding juniors. He is a recent graduate of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he earned his B.Tech. in Metallurgy Engineering and Materials Science. Kevin has 2.28 years of relevant experience in program management, partnership forging, and start-up ecosystem enrichment. Currently, Kevin works as a Student Mentor at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he was handpicked and selected through peer reviews and assessment of knowledge deemed necessary to guide juniors. In this role, he is responsible for mentoring 6 sophomores through semester planning, academics, extra-curricular activities, and helping them transition to the online mode of education. Previously, Kevin worked as Program Manager at Jio, where he was awarded a Letter of Recommendation for exemplary performance in improving engagement and forging partnerships. He forged partnerships and onboarded 20+ start-ups and 12+ OTT/video streaming platforms for integration with Jio Store & STB. Kevin also improved the engagement of software developers and start-ups by 20% through Developer Outreach & Growth Pad programs. He structured the GTM strategy & level-1 timeline for Summer of Code program aiming to improve open-source accessibility. Kevin is also the Co-founder & Co-Director of Hult Prize IIT Bombay, the world’s largest social entrepreneurship competition. He was part of the core founding team of 4 responsible for laying the structure and foundation of the body. Kevin led the end-to-end ideation and execution of the inaugural edition of Hult Prize, spearheaded a two-tier team of 15+ volunteers to enrich the start-up ecosystem, and attracted 40 start-ups. He raised monetary sponsorships worth INR 100k and saved 65% expenditure through barter deals. Kevin associated with 25+ VCs, angel investors to facilitate mentoring for start-ups and judging for the finals. Kevin's interests include reading non-fiction and playing sports. He is skilled in integration and has a strong educational background from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
