Kevin Paulose is a high-achieving final year undergraduate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, with a strong aptitude in mechanical engineering, mechanics, control systems, and robotics. He has an ability to write robust code and develop cutting-edge solutions, which he uses to solve real-life problems using technology. Kevin is always on the lookout for new opportunities and challenges to increase his knowledge and skills. He is a hard worker, a fast learner, a good team player, and has excellent communication skills. In addition to his academic achievements, Kevin is also an accomplished swimmer, black belt in karate, avid reader, and professional pianist. He is currently working as a Research Intern at mitacs, under the guidance of Dr. Soulaimane Berkane, where he is developing and testing novel sensor-based obstacle avoidance algorithms for an autonomous 6- DOF quadcopter drone in an unknown environment. He is proficient in using Simulink, PX4 Autopilot, Drones, and MATLAB. Kevin has also worked as a Student Internship Coordinator at the Career Development Cell, where he onboarded new/existing companies at their campus for placements and the internship hiring process. He has also worked as a Research Intern at BARC, where he designed, analyzed, and performed topology optimization on various mechanical components using software such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, COMSOL Multi-physics, and core mechanical subjects. He has a thorough knowledge of advanced manufacturing, design, and simulation software. Kevin is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar, which he will complete in May 2023. He has 0.86 years of relevant experience and is proficient in Research Scientist. Kevin is a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology and a drive to excel.
