Kevin Shen is an experienced Software Engineer currently working at Stripe. He has a diverse skill set and expertise in a range of technologies such as Typescript, MongoDB, Redux, Postgres, and more. With over 8 years of relevant experience, Kevin has honed his technical and leadership skills in various roles. Prior to joining Stripe, Kevin worked at Clever Inc. as a Lead Engineer on the Clever Library team. His responsibilities included building a marketplace that enables teachers to discover and purchase software for their classrooms. Kevin's technical work on this team ranged from prototyping and experimentation to systems architecture, database ops, load testing, and full-stack implementation. He also provided technical mentoring to three other engineers and managed project management and product direction. Before joining Clever Inc., Kevin worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where he taught FNAR 337: Information Design and Visualization. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He also studied at the University of Otago for a year.
