Kevin Vaz is a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the Information Technology industry. He is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Wipro, where he is playing the role of a Developer in his current team. Kevin is skilled in Agile, Scrum, Mainframe, COBOL, JCL, Java, Android Development, and RDz for Z/OS. He has a Master of Technology - MTech focused in Information Technology from Vellore Institute of Technology. Kevin has a past experience of working at a Management level as a Techno-functional Scrum Master. He has shown good analytical skills to provide various solutions for given requirements. He has been involved in high and low level architectural designs for various projects in his Account. Kevin has been working in Agile and Scrum project focused on the creation of CICS Webservices for Information Domains which would create smaller modules of their Business Components. Later, he moved into Mainframe and MDM project management to analyze existing production issues in their current Architecture and provided relevant solutions for them. In his early career, Kevin worked as a Junior Software Engineer at Wipro, where he was a part of a Healthcare Insurance Domain project. He worked on Production Incidents and Jira Problem record management in Mainframe application. He also worked on batch optimization where he amended some of the JCLs to process the VSAM files faster. He worked in an Agile Feature team which was cross sub-companies, on building CICS web services and other COBOL changes. He has worked in another FT on FCA compliance project and IPT changes which included JCL changes, COBOL and CICS changes, Webservice and Easytrieve program changes, as well as FTP and CEP changes. Apart from the usual work, he automated various manual processes done by his team to save time and given permanent fixes for recurring job failures.
