Khalid Riyaz is a highly skilled Software Engineer with a passion for building high-performance and reliable software solutions to real-world problems. With a strong background in developing Microservices and building scalable backend systems, he possesses a wealth of experience in software engineering practices, system architecture, distributed systems, cloud computing (AWS), database design, Linux, Docker, and more. Khalid is a problem solver with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, making him a valuable asset to any development team. He graduated from BITS Pilani in 2020 and has since been working as a Software Engineer at ConcertAI, where he is responsible for building robust and highly scalable AI software for healthcare and NLP. At ConcertAI, Khalid is working on a range of exciting projects, including building a system to enable automated extraction of information from millions of documents/clinical notes & reports in the cloud (AWS), building scalable Microservices with accessible APIs for high performance NLP, and developing a clinical data validation platform with a robust test suite. He is also responsible for designing and implementing various ETL & analytical pipelines to ensure the efficient processing of data. Prior to joining ConcertAI, Khalid worked as an Associate Software Engineer at ConcertAI and as a Google Summer of Code Developer with CloudCV, where he worked on EvalAI, an open-source platform to host challenges and evaluate AI/ML algorithms & models at scale. Khalid's education history includes a degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, as well as completing his 12th grade at Sri Chaitanya College of Education and his 10th grade at Nasr School. Khalid is proficient in a wide range of technologies, including AWS, Python, NLP, Microservices, AI, Django, Docker, MongoDB, test, ETL, Backend, Redis, Javascript, SQL, Ansible, Kubernetes, ML, and Elastic Search.
