Kim Chouard is a social entrepreneur, artist, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at L'Autre École. She is on a lifelong mission to reimagine the education system by leveraging the power of games and technology to empower youth to become critical thinking citizens who are motivated to positively impact the world around them. Currently, Kim is shaping a new era of technology-empowered K-12 schools at L'Autre École. Her work includes the development of "Age of Makers," a free open-sourced game co-built with students and educators during her time in the Salesforce Philanthropy team. This game has inspired thousands of young people globally to build solutions to the world's biggest challenges using music and new technology, reaching C-level executives and 1.5+ million viewers online. Kim has also worked on numerous other projects to augment Salesforce's impact worldwide, including building mySchool, an internal volunteering app, from scratch in four weeks, empowering more than 10,000 employees to find a local school to volunteer at, culminating in 50,000+ volunteering hours. In addition, Kim has run innovative education programs in conjunction with strategic events globally, such as the Future Trailblazer Challenge, a new technology (3D printing, coding, AI...) for the Sustainable Development Goals curriculum developed with the San Francisco Unified School District and implemented for 500+ middle-schoolers worldwide. Finalists pitched in front of C-level executives from top Silicon Valley companies. Kim's past experiences include being a Senior Product Manager for Analytics at Salesforce, where she helped revolutionize the BI industry with Tableau CRM. She closely worked with customers to define needs, pains, and market opportunities, translating them into a product vision for engineers, designers, marketers, and sales reps. Kim holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from INSA Lyon, and a Baccalauréat in Engineering Science from Lycée Emile Zola, Aix-en-Provence. Her relevant experience spans over 8.29 years and includes expertise in senior software engineering, Salesforce, AI, and product management.
