Kiran Munavalli is a highly skilled and experienced Functional Safety Engineer with over 11 years of expertise in Automotive Embedded Systems and Functional Development. Currently, he is associated with ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Germany, as a Safety Expert Software and Systems, where he is responsible for ensuring the safety of Inverter, DC-DC, and Park lock systems in Electric and PHEV vehicles. Prior to his current role, Kiran worked as a Senior System Engineer for Function Development for Inverter & DC-DC at Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited, Bangalore. He handled Functional Safety requirements as per ISO-26262 for Inverter and DCDC systems in PHEV and Electric Vehicles. Kiran has also worked with Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Ltd, where he was responsible for Functional Development for Vehicle and Monitoring functions for IC Engines. He has worked on Powertrain modules, Monitoring Functions, and has knowledge of Torque Structure and Actual torque co-ordination. Kiran was also involved in FMEAs as topic experts for Monitoring Functions. Kiran is a certified ISO-26262 Functional Safety Software Development professional with respect to DGS-EC internally from BOSCH. He is also certified with IEC–61508 Functional Safety from TUV SUD. Kiran has vast experience in Safety Analysis, including FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA, and has been involved in Safety Audits and Assessment preparations for various projects. Kiran's core competencies include Requirements Engineering, Impact Analysis, Concept Development, Functional Development, and Testing. Kiran holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University. He is proficient in Software Engineering and Testing and has a relevant experience of 12.53 years. Kiran has previously worked with Siemens as a Feature Group Lead for Safety Software and Systems - Inverter and DCDC Systems and as a Senior Systems Engineer. Currently, Kiran is associated with ZF Group as a Functional Safety Engineer, where he is utilizing his skills and expertise to ensure the safety of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles.
