Kirk Visser is an ambitious software engineer with a strong background in developing and debugging complex programs. Currently working as an IT Intern at Aptargroup, Inc., he has reengineered multifaceted Excel templates, simplified user interfaces, and conducted extensive searches for bugs in templates. Kirk is a skilled communicator who has successfully collaborated with his employer to create the desired results. Prior to his current role, Kirk worked as a Software Development Co-op at MIAC - Mortgage Industry Advisory Corporation. Here, he extensively programmed in an object-oriented environment with C++ and mended bugs in MIAC's mortgage pricing software MarketShield. He also designed, fixed, and implemented Graphical User Interface functions and created exportation to Excel functionality in MarketShield. Kirk has analyzed mortgage pricing instruments using SQL and written an adaptive Excel dictionary of mortgage pricing instruments. He worked successfully with a team of developers and is an excellent team player. Kirk has also worked as a Summer Resident Assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology Office of Resident Life. Here, he provided support and emotional guidance to residents, supervised the residence, and managed administrative tasks including building condition reports, maintenance requests, incident reports, and the room change process. Kirk holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
