Kostas Chalkias is an accomplished Cryptographer and Blockchain Engineer with over 12 years of relevant experience. Currently, he is working at Facebook as a Cryptographer and Blockchain Engineer, where he is responsible for developing and implementing advanced cryptographic algorithms and blockchain-based solutions. Prior to joining Facebook, Kostas held key positions at R3 CEV and Erybo Inc. At R3 CEV, he worked as a Cryptographer and Blockchain Engineer, where he was responsible for developing cryptographic protocols and designing secure blockchain-based systems. At Erybo Inc., he served as the Chief Technology Officer, Cryptographer, and Data Scientist, where he was responsible for leading the technology team and developing advanced data analytics solutions. Kostas holds a degree in Engineering Technology and Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences from the KU Leuven Faculty of Engineering Technology & Faculty of Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences.
