Krishan Patel is a seasoned VP of Product with over 7 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working at Apollo, where he leads the Product team and is responsible for driving the growth of the company's self-serve product. Krishan is a passionate learner who loves to share his ideas on social justice, politics, growth/product, marketing/sales, and anything else that piques his interest. Krishan has a proven track record of success in his career. As the Head of Growth at Apollo, he played a pivotal role in transitioning the company from a sales-led to a product-led organization. This required a complete reorganization of various departments, including Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Support, Customer Success, and Operations. Krishan also led the development of a data-driven growth model that helped the company significantly improve its core metrics, such as self-serve revenue, website traffic, user acquisition, customer retention, and in-app upgrades. Prior to his role as Head of Growth, Krishan served as the Growth Lead for Apollo's self-serve product. He was responsible for launching the product, improving its activation rate, and increasing its NPS score. Krishan also spearheaded several marketing experiments that helped the company automate its outbound email strategy, reduce its CPC, and improve its CTR. Krishan holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics & Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. He also completed a Business Negotiation course at UC Berkeley Extension. Krishan has a diverse tech stack that includes skills as a Senior Software Engineer, Product Manager, and Infra specialist.
