Krishna Karthik Sharma is a Senior Software Engineer at Progress, with over 5 years of experience in Financial, Enterprise, and HR product development. He is a problem solver who enjoys approaching challenges with new and innovative solutions. Currently, at Progress, Krishna is contributing to the development of enterprise-level products, including an Email Server Product, Automation Tool, and Managed File Transfer Product. He is responsible for driving meetings with Product Management and Engineering teams to ideate the Product RoadMap. Additionally, Krishna is key in bringing together cross-functional teams and delivering cadence-based releases on-time. He also mentors the team on Scaled Agile practices and accomplishes goals by wearing different hats on a need basis. Krishna conceptualized and built the Azuredevops Pipelines and Test Automation systems. In his previous role as a Software Development Engineer In Test at Progress Software Development Pvt Ltd, Krishna developed test frameworks to test JDBC and ODBC drivers for REST-based NoSQL databases. He automated existing test suites using Shell Scripting and TestNG for multiple platforms and completed testing of drivers during release and development of custom drivers. Additionally, he framed test plans and executed them in an Agile environment during major release cycles along with proper documentation. Krishna also worked at Syndicate Bank as a Product Development Engineer and Product Owner. He was involved in the design and development of a WorkDay kind of In-house HR Solution for the Bank. He was instrumental in developing and configuring the Income Tax Software for Bank employees and Pensioners, which was first of its kind in nationalized banks. He successfully delivered key modules in the HR Solution, including Time Management, Payroll Accounting, and Organizational Management. Krishna was responsible for software development compliance to Bank’s security policies and framing the BCP and DRP for the whole application. He introduced Agile Methodologies in the Bank Software team, resulting in quality output from the team. Krishna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTUH College of Engineering Manthani. He has a strong tech stack that includes expertise in Software Engineering, testing, SDET, SQL, product management, NoSQL, and Python.
