Krishna Pillai is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of thought leadership in previously unfamiliar technologies and organizational dynamics. He is a strong people manager with a passion for technology, people, and business success. Krishna has hands-on experience in platform services development, developer productivity tools, site reliability/devops engineering, continuous integration and continuous deployment, scalable distributed systems, cloud computing, and devops at scale. He is also experienced in cloud platform engineering, infrastructure as code, performance and scalability test engineering, chaos and resiliency test engineering, and test automation frameworks. Krishna believes that it is his job to set the tone for inclusivity in his organization, build a diverse team, and elevate the unique contributions of team members from different backgrounds. He is committed to establishing each team member on a growth trajectory that gets them excited to show up for work each day. Krishna's current position is Software Engineering Leadership at Apple, where he is responsible for cloud platform engineering, site-reliability engineering, performance and chaos engineering, developer experience and dev-ops, and quality engineering. Prior to joining Apple, Krishna worked as Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer for Cloud Platform Engineering at Symantec. He was also Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead for FiosTV Backend Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure at Verizon. Krishna holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Anna University. His technical expertise includes Java, Python, Cassandra, AWS, Spring Framework, Jenkins, SaltStack, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Bash scripting, Grafana, JMeter, Docker, Spark, and ELK.
