Kristopher C. Castillo is a Full Stack Software Engineer with over four years of relevant experience in the field. With a background in art history, he discovered his passion for software engineering when he encountered Python during his graduate program. Since then, he has honed his skills in JavaScript, Python, React, Node.js, HTML, and CSS, and is always eager to learn more. Kristopher is a detail-oriented individual who is driven to improve his understanding of complex codebases. He is a valuable asset to any team, as he is always ready to ask questions and dig deep to solve problems. Currently working as an Associate Software Engineer at Schoolmint, Kristopher has previously worked as a Software Engineering Assistant at App Academy and as a Project Coordinator at Odeon Decoration, LLC. At Odeon Decoration, Kristopher successfully managed multiple interior design projects, crafting proposals, purchase orders, drafting furniture and lighting plans in AutoCAD, and communicating with clients, interior designers, vendors, contractors, and architects. He sourced luxury furnishings and raw materials from domestic and international retailers, art galleries, and auction houses to satisfy clients’ specific tastes. He also supervised production and onsite installation of custom furnishings, lighting, floorcoverings, and decorative finishes, coordinating change orders to meet design budgets and installation schedules. Kristopher holds a Master of Arts in History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from The University of Texas at Austin, a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Classical and Ancient Studies from Georgia State University. He has also completed a post-graduate course in AutoCAD from Pratt Institute. Kristopher’s technical skills include Software Engineering, JavaScript, SQL, Python, PHP, and NodeJS. He is always eager to take on new challenges and expand his knowledge in the field.
