Krystal Allerby is a seasoned HR and People Leader with a passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She is the Recruiting Lead at Canva, where she is responsible for building out the company's Design hiring teams. With over 17 years of relevant experience, Krystal has a proven track record of success in implementing and executing inclusive recruiting strategies, managing global XFN programs, and leading teams of up to 25 reports in recruitment and customer service environments. Krystal's experience in event execution, both large and small, internal and external, makes her a valuable asset to any organization. She is also skilled in training delivery and creation, ensuring that her teams are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. In addition to her current role at Canva, Krystal has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry. She was the EMEA Recruiter at Facebook's International HQ in Dublin, where she led business recruiting efforts, served as a DEI Project Team Lead and Change Champion, and acted as an FBAM (People Manager). Prior to that, she was a Consultant at Carnival Australia, where she reviewed current processes and introduced new ways of working across Attraction, Candidate Experience, and Onboarding, and advised on the Talent Acquisition Strategy for 2022/23. Krystal holds a Foundation of Human Resources degree from the Australian Human Resource Institute. She is proud to be of Aussie, Kiwi, and Māori heritage.
