Kuldeep Singh Sidhu is a highly skilled programmer and developer with a passion for delivering products that consumers love to use and businesses love to make. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he is currently working as a Data Scientist at Lowe's India, where he has created a Query Classification model for multi-class classification using TensorFlow, PySpark, TensorFlow Serving(TFX) & FastAPI with low latency throughput to be used in search ranking. He has also trained a domain-specific BERT to have an accurate & efficient representation of queries and documents related to the home-improvement domain on over 20 million open-source & in-house data points. Kuldeep has a strong interest in machine learning and data science, particularly in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding. He has expertise in information retrieval, planning, problem-solving, and communication. His work at Lowe's has demonstrated his accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team environment. Prior to joining Lowe's, Kuldeep worked as a Software Engineer at JustDial, where he created a ChatBot with functionalities to serve the user on all 72 verticals that JustDial works on using RASA, SPACY, ChatterBot, Tensorflow, DBPedia. He also built a recommendation system for JD Social (JustDial social network) using collaborative filtering and item-based filtering, as well as content-based monetizable suggestions using BERT (Transfer Learning) with an F1 score of 0.88. He also researched ways to do Natural Language Processing on Indian Languages. Kuldeep holds a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He has also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Data Structures and Algorithm Design (DSAD) as well as NLP courses at BITS WILP (Work Integrated Learning Programmes) for M. Tech Data Science and Engineering Program.
