Kumar Abhinav is a seasoned software engineer with over 13 years of experience in distributed systems architecture and end-to-end ownership of multiple micro-services. He is currently the VP of Engineering at Captain Fresh and was previously a key member of the Livspace team, where he played a vital role in defining the core marketplace services architecture. Kumar has worked with teams with varied tasks and deliverables, and his expertise lies in micro-services, e-commerce supply chain data modeling and architecture, and batch data processing. Kumar's impressive career includes working with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Oracle and Visto. At Oracle, he was a Senior Member Technical Staff, where he created, verified, and delivered customized assemblies for Application Testing Suite (ATS) and implemented VM deployment and test execution logic for Testing as a Service (TaaS). He also worked on test report data collection from virtual machines and designed the schema and ADF BC-based API for the Save Search Framework, exposing the framework operations via RESTful webservices. At Visto, Kumar was a Senior Software Engineer, where he worked with Play Framework, Scala, Spring Batch, and open-source metric collection/visualization tools like logstash, graphite, and grafana. He has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.
