Kumar Badgujar is a Principal Product Manager Tech at Amazon (Ship Tech Services) with a passion for solving problems in the transportation space. With over 8 years of relevant experience, Kumar has a strong background in product management and technical program management. Currently, Kumar is focused on delivering value for customers by designing products that reduce shipping costs and introduce dynamic pricing for external shippers. He is obsessed with accurately calculating the shipping cost of each item inside any package that is ordered by a customer to monitor the global transportation network (~40 bn) performance. In the past, Kumar has held the position of Senior Technical Product Manager and Senior Technical Program Manager at Amazon. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, he delivered the Global Transportation Analytics platform for operational and retail finance users. He handled the feature prioritization, functional specifications, and high-level-design of the solution. Technical skills involved were AWS Lamba, SNS, Glue, Data-lake, Redshift/Athena, among others. Kumar holds a PGP degree in Management Information Systems and Finance from the Indian School of Business (ISB), where he completed his studies in 2018. Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information Technology from Vidyalankar Institute of Technology in 2012.
