Kumar D. is a highly skilled and experienced machine learning professional with a proven track record of success in the industry. With almost 7 years of relevant experience, Kumar has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry, including NetApp, Qualcomm, and Nokia. Currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at ZenLabs, Kumar is leading projects in the multimodal AI, NLP, and Knowledge Graph space using web and social media data sources. He is responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models that help organizations to extract actionable insights from large datasets. Prior to his current role, Kumar worked at NetApp as a Member Technical Staff 3 at the Advanced Technology Group (ATG), where he worked on computer vision-based applications related to video content search, transmission, and storage optimization using state-of-the-art deep learning models. He also created models for optimized placement of pods in a Kubernetes cluster, using failure prediction models for decision making. Kumar holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT Bangalore), where he also completed his Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering.
