Kumar Pratik is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle with over 11 years of experience in software development. He has a very high proficiency in Java and OOAD design and is decently proficient in Python and JavaScript (Node and Angular/React JS). Kumar has a strong ability to design software which is scalable and production-ready for complex business solutions. He challenges existing ideas and inculcates innovation in every solution he designs. Kumar has a strong experience and understanding of SDLC processes, technology stack in development, testing, and deployment. He is deeply interested and adept in ML algorithms and Deep learning. Although he has no Ph.D.s, he believes that it should not become a bottleneck to AI. Kumar is very efficient in Data Structures and algorithms and different types of algorithms like search, game theory, etc., and their application. Kumar has a strong understanding of domains like security, banking, real estate, and telecom. He has strong knowledge of tech stacks in Java like Spring Boot, Spring (multiple modules like Spring Cloud, security, MongoDB, JPA, etc.), and Hibernate. In JavaScript, he has expertise in Node and Angular, and in Python, he has worked with various libraries like Pandas, Pynum, etc. Kumar has deployed various CI/CD tools with cloud readiness like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc. He has worked in Amazon AWS and GCP environments and has a very good understanding of cloud fundamentals. Kumar is a strong believer in the democratization of technology and believes that open source is the "be all and end all" of technology. He hopes that one day we achieve a singularity in tech if not in physics. Kumar's current role is as a Tech Lead at Automation Anywhere. In his previous roles, he has worked at Oracle as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and at Dell Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer. At Oracle, Kumar is working on developing an integrated distributed observability platform for Oracle cloud offerings for automated monitoring, incident discovery and alert generation, automated incident response, analytical live reporting for executive teams using a mix of behavioral analytics based on rule engines and ML models. At Dell Technologies, Kumar designed and developed security domain software especially in EDR within an agile environment. The product uses behavioral analytics to stop and contain cyber threats based on the malicious behavior of different entities either in the system or a network of systems.
