Kumar Sanyam is a Senior Software Engineer at Zeta with over 5 years of experience in developing large-scale enterprise-level applications in the fintech domain. He possesses a strong understanding of the payment and trading industries and has worked in an agile development environment to deliver robust and scalable products with full ownership of design and implementation. Kumar believes in teamwork and mentorship to enable peers to give optimal performance as a whole. Currently, Kumar is working on designing the low-level design of the UPI payment application for the largest private sector bank in India, HDFC bank. He has implemented an end-to-end UPI payment solution and tuned the app performance to handle the expected high TPS of UPI payments. Kumar has also migrated all existing services' cryptographic operations to a single hub to enable platform independence in case of using Hardware Security Modules. Additionally, he has added support for distributed instances of ACS server in case of ECOMM payments, achieved by using caching mechanisms for SecondFactor data and message publishing to maintain the same state for all transactions in all the instances. Prior to his current role, Kumar worked as an Assistant Manager at Edelweiss, where he developed complex order state management for parent-child orders in the international trading/risk management platform. He also worked on a real-time position and limits monitoring system using Kafka and ESPER, which displays consolidated numbers of all the trading teams throughout the floor. Kumar interacted with stakeholders in requirements gathering and proactively coordinated with teams from QA to Production support for successful deployment and daily support of the live applications. He mentored juniors in understanding technical as well as the business models involved in their applications. Kumar has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and completed his high school education at St. Karen's High School in Patna. He has a diverse tech stack, including Java, Kafka, Redis, Javascript, MongoDB, C, Tokenization, Research Scientist, Hadoop, test, QA, Microservices, and Senior Software Engineer. With 6.02 years of relevant experience, Kumar is a technology enthusiast who is passionate about building innovative solutions that solve complex problems.
