Kumar Sukhani is a Senior Backend Engineer with over 5 years of experience in building complex Backend Systems. He possesses expertise in Golang, AWS, Docker, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and GraphQL and has used these technologies to build Backend Servers for six startups. Kumar has managed the entire cycle from designing to deployment as the lead developer in most of these projects. Currently working as a System Software Engineer at The Dreamz Group, Kumar is a part of a group of software professionals passionate about innovation and technology. At The Dreamz Group, he worked on containerization of Android using LXC (Linux Containers) and was able to run two different Android instances (Jellybean and ICS) simultaneously in different containers. He also ported LXC for ARM architecture and virtualized the framebuffer and input device driver in Android/Linux kernel. Kumar presented this project at DroidCon, India 2013, the biggest Android Conference in India. In the past, Kumar has worked as an Open Source Developer for JRuby Community and Debian. He was chosen for GSOC 2013 by the JRuby community to work on the project JRuby on Embedded under the guidance of JRuby maintainer, Charles Nutter. He used BeagleBone Black as the target hardware and ported many embedded JVMs like Icedtea, JamVM, Oracle JVM, Avian VM, and Cacao. He also measured the performances of the above-mentioned JVMs and conducted unit tests of JRuby with each JVM. Kumar was also selected for Google Summer of Code (GSOC) 2014 by the Debian community to work on the Lil'Debi application that allows users to run Debian Container on an Android Operating System using chroot. He mentored the same project in GSOC 2015. Kumar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology. He possesses a strong technical skill set that includes Backend, Golang, AWS, Docker, MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, Terraform, Kubernetes, Elastic Search, and Microservices. Kumar is a Senior Software Engineer with relevant experience of 10.28 years.
