Kumar Utkarsh is a highly skilled back-end engineer with a strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms. He is proficient in multiple programming languages, with a particular focus on Java back-end development. Kumar is experienced in designing systems, and is familiar with a wide range of tech stacks, including Spring-Boot, Django REST Framework, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, GraphDB, AWS S3, Azure CosmosDB, Azure Blob Storage, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS, AWS SQS, Celery, Redis, Hazelcast, Azure App Service, Heroku, Azure functions, AWS Lambda, Kubernetes, New Relic, AWS Cloud-watch, Kibana, Azure Monitor, and Coralogix. He has created a reusable pub-sub architecture for pushing failure events to the analytic team while serving the prices of policies, and has been a part of several migration projects, including mo-integration, mo-renewals, and new car migration from old tech stack to Java-based microservices. Kumar also regularly performs data cleaning using pandas before uploading new data to DB provided from business and underwriting teams, resolving CX-issues by doing RCAs and suggesting appropriate solutions for solving customer pain-points. Prior to his current role, Kumar worked as a software engineer at Chubb, where he was a part of the S2M (Speed To Market) team, which speeds up the delivery of insurance products. He wrote three microservices from scratch, including the Products service, which stores the insurance products in Graph data structure format and is the heart of their product, the Metadata-service, which manages the messaging functionality and file upload and download service, and the Utility-service, which manages RBAC mechanism, favourites functionality, audit-trial, and 3rd party API integrations. Kumar's experience also includes working as a software engineer intern at Quikr, where he added the functionality of notifying property owners whenever the customers downvoted their property, developed and coded a mechanism from scratch to migrate the new data or daily updated data stored in relational databases of IndiaProperty to the analytics team of Quikr, and wrote python scripts scheduled in Crontab to regularly update the location of projects in IndiaProperty from QuikrHomes.
