Kunaal Ahuja is a seasoned Vice President and Quantitative Strategist at Goldman Sachs, where he currently works in the Fixed Income team within the Asset Management Division. With over eight years of relevant experience, Kunaal is an expert in portfolio analytics, modeling, and risk management. He has worked on global projects, building systematic strategies, statistical time-series models, business cycle forecasting, quantitative data mining, and risk models. He has also designed and developed the data platform and big data solutions for the division. Kunaal holds a Master's degree in Analytics, majoring in Computational Data Analytics from Georgia Tech, where he gained expertise in data science, machine learning, and big data technologies. Prior to his Master's degree, Kunaal worked for five years as a quantitative strategist in the Fixed Income team within the Investment Management division at Goldman Sachs, where he honed his skills in portfolio analytics and modeling. Kunaal has an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) focused on Information Technology from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. He is a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in infra, ML, AWS, Big Data, test, Spring, and Research Scientist. Kunaal has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia Tech, where he designed and conceptualized exam questions, led office hours, and assisted students through online forums for the graduate-level CSE 6040 Computing for Data Analysis course. He was awarded the 'Thank a Teacher' award for Fall'19 and Fall'20. Kunaal has also worked as a Data Science Intern at Cypress.io, where he designed and developed the data science platform and built prediction models for subscription of new clients and churn and upgrades of existing clients, leading to a 7% MOM increase in subscriptions and reduced churn rate to 1%. He also refined the pricing financial model for optimized pricing plans for the product and worked on the KPI sales funnel to identify key segments to capture market share. Kunaal designed the data science tools like A/B testing significance calculator, size calculator, and reporting tools for the VC, board members, and management.
