Kunal Gulati is a highly skilled Electrical and Computer Engineering Master's student currently pursuing his degree at Carnegie Mellon University. He is seeking internships in the field of Computer Architecture and VLSI integration for the Summer of 2023. Kunal has a strong interest in Systems design and has built proficiency in RTL design and system-level software through his research projects and contributions to Open-Source Hardware projects. Before pursuing his Master's degree, Kunal worked at Arm for 3 years as a Physical Design Engineer developing SRAM-based Memory IP. During his time at Arm, he designed and verified SRAM-based Memory Compiler IP consisting of register files, arrays, and dual-port architectures. He also developed methodologies for bitcell and PDK analysis, consisting of Static Noise Margin, write-ability, leakage, header sizing, Metal RC, and read current. Kunal is highly skilled in designing custom cells, tiling logic, features (Redundancy, BIST, Power Gating, etc.), margin closure, and various EDA views such as LPE, LVS, Static and Dynamic circuit checks. He has also led the tasks of characterisation and process variation analysis (OCV, AOCV) for various platforms to enable and verify timing, power, and other EDA views. Kunal has a strong educational background, having pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Applied Program from Carnegie Mellon University, which is expected to be completed in 2023. Kunal possesses a wide range of technical skills, including Research Scientist, Integration, Python, and Computer Vision. He is highly motivated and passionate about building high-performance systems while focusing on energy efficiency. With a total of 3.69 years of relevant experience, Kunal is an ideal candidate for any Computer Architecture and VLSI integration internships in the Summer of 2023.
