Kunal Gupta is an experienced Android Developer with a passion for writing code and developing software. With over 8 years of experience, Kunal has developed different scales of software and is always keen on automating processes and finding the shortest path to a solution. His specialties include learning and implementing new skills and frameworks, building media apps, implementing architecture such as MVVM/MVC, developing chat frameworks for Android, and tinkering with some of the most complex software in the market. Currently, Kunal is working as an Android Developer at 2586 labs, inc. where he is leading a team of developers to build a fintech product. Prior to his current role, Kunal worked as an Android Developer at Zomato where he worked extensively in the consumer side app developing many core features and spent a major time as the lead for Payments Module for different companies across Zomato. He implemented a plethora of new features for the core module of the menu, worked on optimizing the CI of Android, implemented EMI for payments, worked as a lead for the Payments module, and worked with India's biggest payment service for integrations within the app. Kunal has also worked as a Lead Android Developer at Marsplay where he was responsible for deployment, development, and testing of the native Android application, including UI, core functionality, and new features, bug fixes, etc. He continuously deployed the latest builds to the play store, where they maintained a consistent user rating of 4.5+ having 150k+ downloads. He also architected the Android application with MVP pattern and dependency injection using Dagger and implemented a list (feed) of media with grid/list view consisting of videos/images with adaptive video streaming. Kunal holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology and completed his High School education from The Jain International School.
